Future Adventures for Nemesis?!

Hope you enjoyed your holidays, people. I've just gone back to college and I got exams in about three weeks time, tiring. This won't really effect the schedule, but the release date for the first issue I will not put out until I have full confirmation. The New Kid has unfortunately been met with delays, but should start hopefully by May. I plan to shoot the next two clips for Hardest to Survive in about a week after my exam date but plans are being made for the full shooting of the 30 minute thriller. The departing of Richard O'keefe - the actor in for one of the leads - has greatly affected production but has been covered with a replacement. I will not tell you who is going to play Nate - one of five members of the cast - until after I release Nemesis the Hunter's Mark#1.

Aside from this, Rommel Fabian is replacing Julio Falkenhagen in pencilling duties in Nemesis Dawn of a Legend in the latter part of 2011. Joining him will be the letterer, Shawn Milazzo with the story, layouts and inks done by me as usual. I am not sure who is going to do the colours but it is very likely to be an unknown. I will reveal which company is publishing the comic book when issue 1 of the current series is printed. To be honest, I don't like to hype about sequels. I plan ahead but I say if you do not get the original right, why commit to another one after it. Take all the Spider-Man movies for example, they were real great right. Be honest, now tell me if you agree? But the first two were damn good Spider-Man 2 was even better. When it came to 3, it was huh?! Now they're doing a fourth but its a reboot The Amazing Spider-Man.

Now, I'm not saying 3 wasn't good but it overcomplicated things. I won't even start, but I want to say that I plan on maybe doing probably a web-comic series and features a British superhero. I will not say it yet until I'm sure.

Animation to go production.

With the third draft of the anime trailer for Nemesis the Hunter's Mark handed in to my partner, it's not long before we have a clearly envisioned script. I am about to organize a reading with Courtney Starr, the voice of Henry Jackson, and with another actor negotiating with him to play the role of a helper of sorts. This actor I have talked about has made a cameo in Doctor Who, Skins, Tracey Beaker and acted in Theatre Royal Romeo and Juliet. I am searching for an actress who can play the love interest of Henry and his ex-girlfriend, Maria Francisco.

For those who have read Nemesis Dawn of a Legend, you last saw Henry rejecting his father's legacy and moving forward after his first battle with his enemy in the prequel. What you can expect in this one is he will go through a gradual transformation into his own image as he deals with his mental instability, relationships, conspiracies, arch-rivals, a dark past and within himself. Henry must look for reassurance in his self on his journey while stuck in between a deadly transfer of power between two factions and remember who he really is. Here is a brief synopsis for the whole series coming this Spring 2011 (no spoilers) from the Facebook page.

Nemesis the Hunter's Mark

Synopsis:

On the streets of NYC two factions wage war in an ominous power struggle spanned for centuries. Molecular biologist, Henry Jackson gets back with Maria Francisco after their last reunion went in shambles. Years have passed and the couple separate while Henry traces his long forgotten past and searches through the inheritance his deceased parents left in their wake. But the fortune which provided his career wasn’t the only possession that remained. When Henry discovers illegal documents on a revolutionary formula his life changes the minute he gets recruited into the TEI (Tactical Enforcement Initiative) – NSA branch – an agency that kept tabs on him throughout his life. That’s not all an alternate personality takes control of him. Some spirit that inhabited his family, and granted him power through modification of the genes, as a secret organization wants the scientist for their own devices. Being our last hope against masses of destruction Henry must become in modern legends The Shadow Man and make a choice – whether to give up this curse or use it to fight his demons and protect his love that is his very soul from servitude – the only thing keeping him together as – Nemesis the Hunter.

And there you have it, all of what you can expect for the first issue and afterwards. Sometime next month, I should have teaser posters for the comic book, a summary of issue 2 and post a video clip of the process. As for my other project, Hardest to Survive, I have just spoken to a director friend of mine and discussed about possibly hosting a festival. Next week, details of the Pilot for The New Kid. I tweeted there will be an actor from my short film who is going to make cameo in this Pilot. I handed him the script this week and is speaking with Jstaarz about his role. More on that and where it is going plus the actor to replace Richard O'keeffe. Also, Kbon Reviews will be going to review a film ending in 5 and a TV series.

Enjoy the weekend,

New Kid on the Block.

Shooting of the first episode Pilot is about to begin on The New Kid, directed with a story by Jstaarz for Frontier Entertainment and executive produced by me. I am excited to be a part of this project and wish him luck in creating a pamphlet of a down to earth teenage and young adult drama. It's something I wanted to do ever since I left Pulp Theatre. I play a supporting character called Kellerman/Killerman, I went on to revise some of the scenes, but the director said it was not really necessary and kept it simple. The scene I am doing that I re-written in draft 2, is where you see me for the first time and of course our protagonist of the Pilot. I wanted to give more tension between my character plus the main character in their interactions, so it provided leeway for this guy that I play to be perhaps untrustworthy but it was dropped and can only do what the director says and can't really intrude on someone else's work. Sometimes your own flip side on things doesn't work, even though you believe your ideas are sound. Of course, I know what I would do but its not the vision a director may relieve so you have to lay low.

Well, that's it for today, I will reveal the actor who is playing The New Kid some other time and by then I should have stills of the Pilot and maybe an interview with the man himself. Stay tuned for more details about the show. By the end of this week, I have another post coming soon that I am talking about the process of upcoming comic book miniseries Nemesis the Hunter's Mark and maybe post up a teaser poster, synopsis for issue 2, a press release of interview, a little more thorough details of the small transition from Nemesis Dawn of a Legend and this new series and many more information. At the moment, I am pretty occupied with my other project with my own short film and got a meeting arranged to discuss the production of Hardest to Survive. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of Easter and the hot weather. Kbon Reviews has been on lock down for awhile but he will review the latest films and music very soon.

Take Care,

Actor to leave Survive short

Got a update for Hardest to Survive, had a meeting that day and the film is definitely going on track. The comic book miniseries is soaring into print as fast as you could fly a plane. However, unlike the publishing of the comic, the filmmaking process is a challenge. While minor or major things can go wrong during the idea, concept, writing, penciling and even the inking phases of a comic book/graphic novel which can easily be corrected (not including the inks) before it reaches onto the final stages that lead to printing and distribution on the shelves; anything can go wrong during production of a film from continuity to budgeting.

Well, unfortunately, actor Richard O'keefe, who was going to portray the character of Nate, decided to exit the short film of my crime thriller due to conflictions with his schedule. Both of us are truly sad that he had to leave and he wanted to continue being a part of this process, but obviously he's not able to be a part of it. I wish him good luck in whatever path he takes and goes far in the future. He was a good addition to the film crew and cast. Nate is one of the main characters in the film. Not to worry though, I've got a replacement to fill in the character of Nate.

I will reveal the actor who is playing Nate shortly after The New Kid is done, he will be in that Pilot episode of that project directed by Jstaarz. See if you could spot the person who is playing Nate. The script is being tailored for a shooting this weekend and one actor from my short film will be appearing in that episode. Watch out for The New Kid on Frontier, Youtube, Twitter and talks are being made for this to go on SBTV. Test shoots of Hardest to Survive hopefully should wrap up by the end of April or in the middle of May 2011 with a full week of shooting happening thereafter. My next post will be about The New Kid released this Easter.

New Logo and More News.

Like the new look, why have I changed it you ask? Well I wanted something that is a little bit more distinctive from the older version and is what has been shown on the cover of the first issue but without the dark motif and is orange. Don't worry, the orange eye is no reality TV concept its just a representation of the mascot's power, so no Big Brother here. I'll leave questions about lettering to Blambot, anyway, I have an improtant update to make. Since the site is being run, more multimedia will be underway within a couple months by the LD Studios Team and I am about to edit a video for something else. It may be shown on the website as an example of our services. Anyway, the news is I am in talks with showing some preview pages of issue 1 of the comic will be shown on Wake Up magazine. For those who have not seen the pencilled and inked version of those page search for Nemesis the Hunter's Mark on Facebook Pages and they should be there. Lettered pages should be on there soon.

Be cool everyone,

The Nemesis about to go print.

At last, Julio Falkenhagen, co-artist and designer, has sent me the rest of his drawn pages for Nemesis the Hunter's Mark issue 1 "The Fallen". I'm about to go through it with inks and the letterer, Rommel Fabian has sent me some pages lettered. Both are very talented at what they do and I'm glad we've almost got the book ready for print, you can see the inked and lettered pages down here below. I will unveil a picture of the next issue cover for number 2 very soon but for now just know that issue 1 is coming along fine. I am going to start the next draft for the animation trailer very soon, and I have begun to sort out a studio where I can record the actors voices. Expect issue 1 to go under print very soon, I am meeting to discuss the sample of the comic going into a magazine plus the press release of my interview should be coming soon.

The New Kid update and more!!!!

It's now the 5th April people, and it's nearly half term, yes!!! Now I got an update for you, first I just handed the revised script of the pilot for The New Kid. For those of you who don't know what this is, check my last post. Its a new web series coming from the F-ENT team and it stars a couple talented youth about a newbie who enters a new block. Jstaarz, the creator, will direct and this will be executive produced by myself and I will star in it. Shooting may start ASAP during the Easter holidays and should then be uploaded on the Myspace page here is the link for it http://myspace.com/frontierent, on my Youtube account, the link for it is here http://www.youtube.com/user/89kbon my new site http://www.nemesisthehunter.co.uk/ and on this blog. Photograph stills of behind the scenes maybe on this blog also. Check Frontier Entertainment on Facebook.

Another thing is with Hardest to Survive, I am speaking to all of the actors involved with that and I will not start Principal Photography until all testing shoots are done. I have got back my Photoshop again, I should be able to post more artwork from the comic book prequel last year, Nemesis Dawn of a Legend but not as yet. I will try and find time in order to do that, but I have just been handed more pencils from Julio, the co-artist and designer, so I got more inking for issue 1 of Nemesis the Hunter's Mark. Lettering from Rommel will be handed to me this week and hopefully I can get the inking done in time before Easter break so that I can hand in all of the inks and letters for Kieron to colour. More services will be added on the new site soon, so make sure you check them out for apps or stuff like that.

See yah later,

Plans for the Future.

It's been 4 months since I revealed the upcoming comic series, Nemesis the Hunter's Mark, is being released this year. Now that you wait for that prolonged satisfaction, I'm here to reveal to you the future of my franchise and this blog site. T-Shirts have been considered since the early part of last year in the summer but is still being looked upon, of course, the e-book which is the prequel to this series is coming in the later months as well. The animation trailer is being opted for production with an unknown who goes by Courtney Starr in the lead. Story development is being discussed for this promotion and more actors should be underway plus the 3rd draft is going to be written, it sure is going to keep me busy in some of the Easter holidays coming up and my editor will pen another, new, final draft after my writing partner's revisions. If you have not seen it yet, my site is now up http://www.nemesisthehunter.co.uk/. This is where all will be able to buy the comics when it comes out.

LD Studios is beginning to establish itself on the media scene, I am partnering with the best people behind Frontier Ent. and Ezee Media to secure ventures into more different multimedia. Simultaneous with the production of Nemesis the Hunter's Mark and development of the other two projects, I have tweeted a new pilot Frontier is developing called The New Kid. Its a down to earth short written and directed by Jstaarz, about some newbie on the block getting bullied. I am co-writing, producing and starring in the pilot and the pilot will be at least 5 minutes long. What I can say about the script so far is that its something I always wanted to be a part of from the moment Jstaarz told me about it, I've read it and was good. I really like my character and he's someone I can relate to, his name is Kellerman/Killerman and he is odd, mysterious, but cool. Script needs a little tweaks here and there but we will be able to work it out and I am supporting this project all the way. Shooting begins in about two weeks, so druing Easter.

I will speak more about the future plans and more about The New Kid in my next post and will come up with a new video diary on Hardest to Survive next week.

Bye, fans
