'The Hood' Short Film auditions Still Ongoing...

I have come back with an update on the short film 'The Hood', a comedy-drama, auditions is still ongoing and is down to two actors; one of the main cast and a smaller role. As I said before, I promised I will put up photos of the cast for the film, stills of the film will be also posted when Principal Photography is under going. Shooting is most likely to take place sometime at the end of September/October. A synopsis will be posted on Tuesday. More updates on this particular project will be up at least every week.

Hardest to Survive Entered in Film Festival.

I would like to inform all of you that Hardest to Survive, my Short Film, was entered in a Film Festival for DocScreen event at the Art Against Knives Boxpark in Shoreditch on the 22nd December 2011, and was fit in there by a show holder. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend my own screening but I am confident that it all went well. The clip that was shown was an extended clip, this is an extra scene that is separate from the actual film, which would of provided viewers a bit of knowledge on what actually happens during a vital point in the 30 minute short somewhere during the middle of the plot. I directed this scene with myself in a cameo role, I shot this with other filmmakers from Ezee Media and Frontier Entertainment. The scene was posted on Youtube earlier this year and on Facebook. You can view it on my account, found on my contacts page. I am aiming for production sometime in February-March 2012.

New Kid Pilot finished.

I am going to let you in on a brief rundown on The New Kid Pilot written and directed by Jstaarz. The 5 minute short has been shot yesterday and is almost wrapped up, there is a few details I will give out which are quite major spoilers. I no longer play Killerman/Kellerman character in the show but I play someone else. There has been a change in the casting but the story and concept is still quite sound. Sean Marquis, the actor who is initially supposed to play our title character is not in the episode but is still involved in Hardest to Survive. There is one more shot needed to be shot that includes the main character's introduction, but the majority of the show has been finished and is about to go through editing process. I'm not sure how long it will take but expect the Pilot to be on Spiff TV, Youtube and Facebook by this November.

Child Star to play Young Henry.

The animation trailer is under way, with another star on the way to the top. This time, its a child, his name is Ramy Souleman. He will be in Nemesis the Hunter's Mark anime trailer and will play a short cameo as the child version of Henry Jackson/The Nemesis alongside other versions of Courtney Starr and myself, Andre Farquharson. I will not spoil the trailer, but he will play a crucial role which is vital to his development of the avenger of punishment and revenge he will become in the future. The actress for the character's mother, Sarah Jackson, is almost in negotiations for her role and pre-production is almost done. I have sorted out animators and will be close to finding the whole of the production team. If things begin to move swiftly then production will start sometime in November or December 2011.

Check them out then,

Father Figure Of Next Gen Super-Hero.

The newest addition to the cast for the short animation has been chosen, Portuguese born actor and presenter, his name is Rony Romero and he now currently lives between London and his hometown. Drama experiences come from working on TV and several agencies, having previously worked in Rede Record and Record International. He is set to voice Henry's wise uncle, Phillip "Phil" Jackson who has an idea on the dark curse the protagonist inhabits within. Two more cast members left to go through auditions. I am searching for an actress to have a small cameo as Henry's late mother, Sarah Epps Jackson and plus someone to play the child version of the leading role. They should be up there soon, as for the actor to voice him as a teenager well if you are a Facebook user and have joined the cause, you would have known who is playing him yesterday. I will voice the adolescent version of the main character.

I realize some of you out there are quite anxious or interested to see the next chapter that is a follow up to the prequel, Nemesis Dawn of a Legend, which have been posted on this blog. Well the hold up on Nemesis the Hunter's Mark is Rommel Fabian who is busy on two other comic book projects but he is coming back to finish the last few pages. I have finished all the colour notes and it is ready to be sent to Kieron Boothe. It won't be long before Fabian is done then I can send both the lettered pages and notes to Kieron to wash over in technicolor. We are still in talks about whether the series will be monthly or bi-monthly so I'll keep you updated on the video I plan to do this week or next after the interview with Jordan O'Connor.

Next is the interview and then updates,

Later on fans,

Animation to go production.

With the third draft of the anime trailer for Nemesis the Hunter's Mark handed in to my partner, it's not long before we have a clearly envisioned script. I am about to organize a reading with Courtney Starr, the voice of Henry Jackson, and with another actor negotiating with him to play the role of a helper of sorts. This actor I have talked about has made a cameo in Doctor Who, Skins, Tracey Beaker and acted in Theatre Royal Romeo and Juliet. I am searching for an actress who can play the love interest of Henry and his ex-girlfriend, Maria Francisco.

For those who have read Nemesis Dawn of a Legend, you last saw Henry rejecting his father's legacy and moving forward after his first battle with his enemy in the prequel. What you can expect in this one is he will go through a gradual transformation into his own image as he deals with his mental instability, relationships, conspiracies, arch-rivals, a dark past and within himself. Henry must look for reassurance in his self on his journey while stuck in between a deadly transfer of power between two factions and remember who he really is. Here is a brief synopsis for the whole series coming this Spring 2011 (no spoilers) from the Facebook page.

Nemesis the Hunter's Mark

Synopsis:

On the streets of NYC two factions wage war in an ominous power struggle spanned for centuries. Molecular biologist, Henry Jackson gets back with Maria Francisco after their last reunion went in shambles. Years have passed and the couple separate while Henry traces his long forgotten past and searches through the inheritance his deceased parents left in their wake. But the fortune which provided his career wasn’t the only possession that remained. When Henry discovers illegal documents on a revolutionary formula his life changes the minute he gets recruited into the TEI (Tactical Enforcement Initiative) – NSA branch – an agency that kept tabs on him throughout his life. That’s not all an alternate personality takes control of him. Some spirit that inhabited his family, and granted him power through modification of the genes, as a secret organization wants the scientist for their own devices. Being our last hope against masses of destruction Henry must become in modern legends The Shadow Man and make a choice – whether to give up this curse or use it to fight his demons and protect his love that is his very soul from servitude – the only thing keeping him together as – Nemesis the Hunter.

And there you have it, all of what you can expect for the first issue and afterwards. Sometime next month, I should have teaser posters for the comic book, a summary of issue 2 and post a video clip of the process. As for my other project, Hardest to Survive, I have just spoken to a director friend of mine and discussed about possibly hosting a festival. Next week, details of the Pilot for The New Kid. I tweeted there will be an actor from my short film who is going to make cameo in this Pilot. I handed him the script this week and is speaking with Jstaarz about his role. More on that and where it is going plus the actor to replace Richard O'keeffe. Also, Kbon Reviews will be going to review a film ending in 5 and a TV series.

Enjoy the weekend,

New Kid on the Block.

Shooting of the first episode Pilot is about to begin on The New Kid, directed with a story by Jstaarz for Frontier Entertainment and executive produced by me. I am excited to be a part of this project and wish him luck in creating a pamphlet of a down to earth teenage and young adult drama. It's something I wanted to do ever since I left Pulp Theatre. I play a supporting character called Kellerman/Killerman, I went on to revise some of the scenes, but the director said it was not really necessary and kept it simple. The scene I am doing that I re-written in draft 2, is where you see me for the first time and of course our protagonist of the Pilot. I wanted to give more tension between my character plus the main character in their interactions, so it provided leeway for this guy that I play to be perhaps untrustworthy but it was dropped and can only do what the director says and can't really intrude on someone else's work. Sometimes your own flip side on things doesn't work, even though you believe your ideas are sound. Of course, I know what I would do but its not the vision a director may relieve so you have to lay low.

Well, that's it for today, I will reveal the actor who is playing The New Kid some other time and by then I should have stills of the Pilot and maybe an interview with the man himself. Stay tuned for more details about the show. By the end of this week, I have another post coming soon that I am talking about the process of upcoming comic book miniseries Nemesis the Hunter's Mark and maybe post up a teaser poster, synopsis for issue 2, a press release of interview, a little more thorough details of the small transition from Nemesis Dawn of a Legend and this new series and many more information. At the moment, I am pretty occupied with my other project with my own short film and got a meeting arranged to discuss the production of Hardest to Survive. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of Easter and the hot weather. Kbon Reviews has been on lock down for awhile but he will review the latest films and music very soon.

Actor to leave Survive short

Got a update for Hardest to Survive, had a meeting that day and the film is definitely going on track. The comic book miniseries is soaring into print as fast as you could fly a plane. However, unlike the publishing of the comic, the filmmaking process is a challenge. While minor or major things can go wrong during the idea, concept, writing, penciling and even the inking phases of a comic book/graphic novel which can easily be corrected (not including the inks) before it reaches onto the final stages that lead to printing and distribution on the shelves; anything can go wrong during production of a film from continuity to budgeting.

Well, unfortunately, actor Richard O'keefe, who was going to portray the character of Nate, decided to exit the short film of my crime thriller due to conflictions with his schedule. Both of us are truly sad that he had to leave and he wanted to continue being a part of this process, but obviously he's not able to be a part of it. I wish him good luck in whatever path he takes and goes far in the future. He was a good addition to the film crew and cast. Nate is one of the main characters in the film. Not to worry though, I've got a replacement to fill in the character of Nate.

I will reveal the actor who is playing Nate shortly after The New Kid is done, he will be in that Pilot episode of that project directed by Jstaarz. See if you could spot the person who is playing Nate. The script is being tailored for a shooting this weekend and one actor from my short film will be appearing in that episode. Watch out for The New Kid on Frontier, Youtube, Twitter and talks are being made for this to go on SBTV. Test shoots of Hardest to Survive hopefully should wrap up by the end of April or in the middle of May 2011 with a full week of shooting happening thereafter. My next post will be about The New Kid released this Easter.

Hardest to Survive extended clip

They say good things come to those who wait, its all I have to say for this column I have now. I just released the extended clip for Hardest to Survive on Youtube here on the 24th February and its looking good so far, I'm pleased with myself. Unfortunately, the shoot for the 3rd clip cannot be done because one of the actors had a fever and the other was not available so hopefully shooting can take place after 8th March for that. I expect to start the actual film very soon, I got a studio out there I need to see and prepare for Principal Photography coming soon and other things, which needs to be sorted like a schedule but it should be fine. My blog has been updated a little bit with one more picture added to the bios section and more links to my contacts page where you will be able to contact me. On it, is Hardest to Survive page and the Nemesis the Hunter's Mark page on Facebook, those are places where you can get extra piece of information from both projects. Not only that, but you can see videos, pictures or apps there as well. Also, there is a link to follow me on Twitter. Anyway, enough rambling let's see the video.

Thank you for watching,

Streaming....

To everyone,

Yeah, I got a few things to say here. Unfortunately, covers for issue 8 (I am working on) and 9 (coming in two days) is not available. I am getting somebody to fix Photoshop on my computer, without it, you cannot get any colour. However, the scripts will be printed as normal and you get to see the story. Also, everyone can find the synopsis for issue 9 below. I will be doing the editing with Jstaarz tommorow plus he is setting up a location for his own short film, Cold Outside, which involves an interesting tale about mistaken identity. I have no idea who the actors will be for that or anymore details surrounding it, but he will be able to fix the computer problem I have anyways. Auditions for Hardest to Survive is still ongoing, but I have two more actress' for them. I have yet to find roles that fit Lee but I have found the ideal actors who is playing Trey and Malachi. The names I will reveal at a later date when the confirmation is upheld.

Nemesis Dawn of a Legend#9

A Blank Slate part 5 of 6: Whisper

"Finishing up his training with Jung Kwan, Henry Jackson finally discovered his totem; the symbol of air, wearing the symbol on his dog tags everyday to remind him of his purpose: to dish vengeance or punishment against those who prey on the souls who cannot help themselves and protect the weak. Never before has Jackson been this focused and driven in accomplishing his goal. Now on the hunt for the marauding forces who threatened his guardian, Jackson decides to keep his uncle in hiding after he is well and confront the same assassins behind a powerful organization called The Commission. He is now confident in his abilities that has now increased over 100 fold and managed to supress the urges, his "Beserker Instinct" that corrupt his mind - wearing a new uniform - in ownership of his birthright. Despite these changes in heart can Jackson really be cured of his temptations? Will his powers be enough to defeat Carmen "Richie" Richards? How did he get to this point in the first place? Everything will be explained in the second to last part of 'A Blank Slate' part 5 of 6." One rumour is all it takes.

Thank you for reading and see yah,

Brand New Term!!!

Hey peeps,

I'm here again to present to you all recent news that have come up, as you can see I have put up another new film poster for The Hardest to Survive film. This, however, is just a preview and is not the final product. Auditions will be on the 15th September 2010 and this marks a third session as of this year. We are still looking for three more leading roles, side characters and extras. I will list them at the end of this page. The promotion for that is slowly but surely coming along.

Anyway, I hope you all liked Brice's music video. The crew including myself have put some work into this. Releasing next week is two covers for Nemesis Dawn of a Legend #1 and #2 plus a flash animation by J Staarz based on my design on the Bios page. There will also be some more pictures on that section pretty soon, I just did some artwork for them last week, but I got two pictures more as well. Since I just started back at college, it may keep me back, I will try to get them out early enough. Also, the synopsis for #7 will be posted sometime then.

Otherwise, here are the lists of characters for The Hardest to Survive available:

Leading roles:

Trey - (16 years old) Black Carribean. A student and ex-gang member who goes striaght, he is an old friend of Remo.

Shanna - (17 years old) Black Carribean, First cousin to Remo, she is Trey's love interest and relative by proxy to Malachi.

Malachi - (17 years age) A notorious gang member involved with the Rago posse who usually justifies the ends from the means.

Side Characters:

Raheem - A basketball player, he is friends with both Nate and Remo.

Shawn - He is the older brother of Raheem who ends up being the victim.

Lee - Gang member of Rago posse and Malachi's right hand man.

Anish - Asian (14 years age), the boisterous and rowdiest member of the Rago posse, he is a drug dealer.

Deveran - A mysterious (19 years age) Columbian assassin best at what he does.

That's really it for now, thank you for reading and I hope all of you out there have had a great summer. I can't believe it ended so quickly.

What is Aggro?!

Hey fans,

I have some good news for you, the storyboards I am doing for Aggro have been finished and I am working on the series third episode. My partners are working on the storyboards I have sent them on software. It won't be long before the creative directors at Pulp Theatre Entertainment can hire voice actors for the recordings and release a viral marketing campaign for you guys. Check out the site anytime, there is a link to it you can find on the links page or you can go on these web addresess http://www.pulptheatre.com/ or all of you could really check out the comic book for Alien Ink they have on http://www.alienink.co.uk/. I will be getting back to work on it some time, but I am working on something extra special for you guys who are into the Nemesis web comics I posted on this blog. No, it's not just the cover art for issue 1 and 2 that I will be doing, but something else as a little treat. One of them I will reveal but the next I won't until the end of the year. The first souvenir is a chance to get to know all of the characters that you have read so far in the scripts. That is what I have been working on for quite awhile now and should be up there as soon as I get the other cover art done. The next issue of Nemesis Dawn of a Legend, issue 7, will be released on the 17th September and the 8th issue will be published on the 24th of that month. They will be up there sometime in the afternoon.

The other day was pretty good, bar the rain, I got in touch with Jstaarz and Mathu Ezee on a music video they did and I took part on their shoot and it was really great. It features artist Brice who does rap, he reps for the UK, but he was originally from Canada. He's a really good person and can give you a good laugh as well and is laidback. Hopefully, I can get the music video uploaded here real soon, I think it is currently being edited but I helped out with the filming too as well as lighting. Speaking of which, the auditions for The Hardest to Survive film is still going on, two actors have now been hired for the leading roles so far, but there is still room for more actors and actresses available to attend these sessions. I will let you know when the next set of auditions will take place in a couple weeks, but I hope to start filming and principal photography in two or so more months time. I am pleased with the newest addition to the crew, he is very bright, enthusiastic and helpful as part of the cast and crew. I am confident he does have the key to fit the bigger picture. That is it for today, I wish all of you the best this term. I will be back for more news, videos, music, talents, interviews and commentary definitely this weekend.

See yah later,

The Hardest to Survive auditions

Yesterday was a long day as I had many actors/actresses coming to me for auditions on my short film I am making this summer, some have been off, few have convinced me to give them the role and only one in particular have been good enough to be an addition to the crew. It has been all well, I'm really liking how things are turning out so far. Apart from that, behind the scenes have started going to that up and down trend with the creativity of my work. Don't worry people, I will make sure that this will be one of the best crime film's this year and will turn out better than your expectations. I will do another audition in the next few weeks, I will try book that later at the moment we are still trying to find actors who can fill the part of the leading roles. I will do cameos at some other date, but the promotion is getting sorted but I still got more things to sort before we hit production. I will reveal who is chosen for the roles soon, as some could not make the first audition.

Nemesis Dawn of a Legend#5 will be posted up on this blog tommorow sometime in the evening or afternoon. The script have been finished and is ready, plus the cover art is finished being inked and ready for digital colouring. There will be a synopsis for issue 6 two days before the launch date on the 20th August 2010 and I will try get out #1 and #2 as cover art after #6 has been released. Thumbnails for them have been completed but the finished pencils have not been done yet. As for the T-shirts, I am trying to get all of them sorted out. Kbon is working on another review, this time, this is for the Predators film and it should not be long before he will post the review on his blog pretty soon on http://www.kbonreviews.blogspot.com/. The animation I am working on is called Aggro and that's all I'm going to tell you about it. At the moment we have started doing the animatics for it, but I will let you know more from this sooner than you think.

See yah,

What's Next?!

How's the holidays going?

We are already near the end of July and the heat is beginning to subside, while you have been mainly relaxing or going out, I've had a couple breaks while some of my free time goes to what I'm doing on this site. Tell me what you think of the cover for issue 4 of Nemesis Dawn of a Legend, I'm currently writing the script for issue 5, so be on the look out for that this August as this new chapter kicks off a whole different ball game. My friend, Kbon is back doing more reviews for video games, films, music and others. He did Drake's album two weeks ago and is doing one on Phoenix, a Hip Hop artist. I think he'll be doing another one back onto films, but he did say to me at some point he's going to start reviewing on video games pretty soon. Check them out on http://www.kbonreviews.blogspot.com/.

For the movie that I'm directing, The Hardest to Survive, let me know if you want to be a part of it, I will send you some information on how to become one of the leading roles. I am casting the main characters first before I get into cameos, if you are chosen to be part of the lead you will be paid and all of you will be accomodated with food in between shoots. There will be a promotion going on with the T-Shirts some time during the auditions on August 11th 2010. Remember, all you have to do to get involved is 1. On my blog just click "Follow" and keep being part of the blog I've set up 2. Support the projects I'm doing and comment 3. Spread out to as many friends or family that you know like this 4. Send me your email address and number (optional) to find out how to get the T-Shirts or contact me on this site.

Have a good day,
